AILA AWARD 2024
PREMIO AILA 2024 27 giugno 2024 – Roma Parco Archeologico del Colosseo Tempio di venere Galleria Fra le campagne di informazione promosse dall’AILA, nel 2009, all’Ambasciata Italiana di Washington, è nato il progetto “Music & Science” in collaborazione con la band “Affetti Collaterali”, in cui si esibisce anche il Presidente della Fondazione. Il gruppo musicale si esibisce da anni a favore dell’AILA, riscuotendo grande successo di pubblico e quindi contribuendo in maniera importante alla diffusione dei messaggi di prevenzione nell’ambito dei Premi AILA e di altre manifestazioni. AILA INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2019 April 29, 2019 – CUBA 6th edition AILA INTERNATIONAL AWARD WINNERS DRIULIUS GONZALES MORALES Known as “the legend of judo”, she is considered the best judoka of the 20th century in America and one of the most complete judokas of all time in the 57 and 63 kg divisions. Holder of four editions of the Olympic Games, seven-time world champion, of the Pan American Games and of the Central American and Caribbean Games. Champion in the 63 kg division and feared in the 56 and 57 kg divisions, she was a symbol of extraordinary perseverance and tenacity, when she triumphed wounded in the Atlanta Summer Games, becoming a model of combativeness among athletes. The 2000 Sydney Olympics was the last major competition in which she won a silver medal. Selected five times as the best female athlete in Cuba, Driulis also boasts other titles and medals. She is currently the coach of the national women's judo team. RODOLFO PUENTE ZAMORA Specialty Baseball. He actively participated in several national series, becoming a renowned Cuban baseball player. Famous batter for sending the baseball outside the outer fence of the field; he was the one who connected 3 "Home-Run" in a single game. In his memories (and records) 21 Home-Run in 21 years of career. After retiring, he continued as coach of the Cuban team. He was elected in 1985 as a member of the Technical Commission of the "Pan American Baseball Confederation" (COPABE). In 2001 he was appointed second Vice President of the “International Baseball Federation (IBAF), representing the organization of baseball sports at a global level. He is currently the director of the “Cuban Baseball Federation”. PROF. JULIAN FRANCISCO RUIZ TORRES Doctor of Science, Specialist in Gastroenterology.
