Women, in fact, are still threatened by many diseases with a greater incidence than men”. With the aim of defeating two chronic diseases, typical of modern society, which make women more fragile and defenseless, AILA has published innovative scientific research on arthrosis and osteoporosis, not failing to underline the socio-economic aspects and human costs for citizens and for the community of these pathologies that cause pain, disability, deformity, fractures. In fact, there are 5 million people in Italy affected by osteoporosis, it is estimated that over 10 million are at risk. Studies have particularly focused on the harmful lifestyles that lead to the disease, on the measures to be taken to prevent it and on how to treat it. On June 26, the AILA Foundation will therefore honour some eminent figures who have worked to improve the status of the female universe in all fields.
